More than five years after Seattle issued a proclamation declaring a civil emergency related to homelessness, the crisis still reverberates. Community leaders have yet to solve this complex challenge, one that’s testing Seattle’s soul.

We’ll explore the path forward on the homelessness crisis on June 2 at noon in our latest Civic Conversations event, presented by Microsoft. Registration is free, but space is limited so make sure to sign up here.

Key topics of discussion will include the new Compassion Seattle effort, a plan to require the city to keep parks, playgrounds, sports fields and public spaces clear of encampments once mandated housing, drug, and mental health services are in place. We’ll also discuss the state of downtown Seattle as companies consider a return to the office. We hope you’ll join us for this important discussion featuring:
